Working with the poem 

 A. Write six pairs of rhyming words from the poem. Read each pair aloud. 

(কবিতাটোৰ পৰা ছয়যোৰ ছন্দযুক্ত শব্দ লিখা) 

Example : Moon- Shoon.

Ans: sees: trees;  catch- thatch, log-dog, peep-sleep, by-eye, gleam-stream. Comprehension 

B. Answer the fallowing questions :

I. Where do you think the poet was, when he wrote the poem?

 (কবিতাটি লিখাৰ সময়ত কবি ক’ত আছিল বুলি ভাবা?) 

Ans: The poet was at outside in a night when he wrote the poem.

(কবিতাটি লিখাৰ সময়ত কবি ৰাতি বাহিৰত আছিল)

2. How do the moonbeams transform the appearance of things on which they fall ? 

(চন্দ্ৰৰ পোহৰে ই পৰা বস্তুবোৰৰ ৰূপ কেনেদৰে সলনি কৰে?) 

Ans: The moonbeams transform the things on which they fell by giving them a silvery appearance.

3. Where is the dog lying? How does the poet describe his paws?

Ans: The dog is lying at his kennel. The poet describes his paws as the paws of silver.

4. Why does the poet call the fish 'moveless'?

Ans: The poet calls the fish 'moveless' because he assumes that the fish are also sleeping in that night.(কবিৰ মতে সেইদিনা ৰাতি মাছবোৰো শুই আছিল৷সেইবাবে তেওঁ মাছবোৰক গতিহীন বুলি কৈছে)

5. Describe the effect of the moonlight on water ?

 (পানীত চন্দ্ৰক পোহৰে পেলোৱা প্ৰভাৱৰ বিষয়ে বৰ্ণনা কৰা) 

Ans: The water of the stream  gleam like silver in the moonlight. Because of the clear, transparent silver water of the stream the reeds also transformed to silver. 

(চন্ৰ পোহৰত জুৰিৰ পানীবোৰ ৰূপৰ দৰে জিলিকিছিল৷ ফটফটীয়া পৰিষ্কাৰ পানীৰ বাবে পানীৰ তলত থকা গছবোৰকো ৰূপালী ৰঙৰ যেন দেখা গৈছিল)
