Shreemanta Shankardeva was a great son of Assam. Shankar was born at Alipukhuri village of Bordowa in Nagaon district of Assam. His parents were Kusumber Bhuyan and Satyasandhya (In the year 1449 Shaka). Mahedra Kandali was his teacher. Young Shankar was healthy, brave and brilliant.

শ্ৰীমন্ত শংকৰদেৱ অসমৰ এজন মহান পুত্ৰ আছিল। অসমৰ নগাঁও জিলাৰ বৰদোৱাৰ আলিপুখুৰী গাঁৱত শংকৰৰ জন্ম হৈছিল। তেওঁৰ পিতৃ-মাতৃ আছিল কুসুম্বৰ ভূঞা আৰু সত্যসন্ধ্যা (১৪৪৯ শকত)। মহেদ্ৰ কন্দলি তেওঁৰ শিক্ষক আছিল। যুৱ শংকৰ আছিল সুস্থ, সাহসী আৰু মেধাৱী।

Translation results

        Shreemanta Shankardeva visited many holy places of India. He wrote Kirtan, Bhagavat and many other books. He composed Borgeets, played Bhaonas and founded Namghars. He believed in one God. To him all living beings are parts of God. Shreemanta Shankardeva preached Vaishnava religion. He protested against social evils. He brought a change in the society.

শ্ৰীমন্ত শংকৰদেৱে ভাৰতৰ বহুতো পৱিত্ৰ স্থান পৰিদৰ্শন কৰে। তেওঁ কীৰ্তন, ভাগৱত আদি বহুতো গ্ৰন্থ ৰচনা কৰিছিল। তেওঁ বৰগীত ৰচনা কৰিছিল, ভাওনা বজাইছিল আৰু নামঘৰ প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰিছিল। তেওঁ এক ঈশ্বৰত বিশ্বাস কৰিছিল। তেওঁৰ বাবে সকলো জীৱ ঈশ্বৰৰ অংশ। শ্ৰীমন্ত শংকৰদেৱে বৈষ্ণৱ ধৰ্ম প্ৰচাৰ কৰিছিল। তেওঁ সামাজিক দুষ্টতাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে প্ৰতিবাদ কৰিছিল। তেওঁ সমাজলৈ এক পৰিৱৰ্তন আনিলে।

    Shreemanta Shankardeva was a saint. He died at the age of 120. People of Assam will remember him forever.
