 Class Discussion  ( कक्षा की चर्चा) 

“In the class discussion Jane, you hardly said a word.

“कक्षा में चर्चा के दौरान जेन, तुमने मुश्किल से एक शब्द भी कहा।

We all aired our opinions but from you we barely heard.

हम सभी ने अपनी राय व्यक्त की लेकिन आपकी ओर से हमने बमुश्किल ही सुना।

You sat and stared in silence surrounded by the chatter,

आप चुपचाप बैठे रहे और गपशप से घिरे रहे,

Now tell me Jane,

अब मुझे बताओ जेन,

and please be plain,

और कृपया स्पष्ट रहें,

is there anything the matter?”

क्या कोई बात है?”

Jane looked up and then she spoke,

जेन ने ऊपर देखा और फिर बोली,

Her voice was clear and low:

उसकी आवाज़ साफ़ और धीमी थी:

“There are many people in this world

“इस दुनिया में बहुत सारे लोग हैं

Who are rather quiet you know!”

आप जानते हैं कि कौन लोग काफी शांत हैं!”
