Q.What is bandaging?

Bandaging is the process of applying a strip of material, such as cloth or gauze, around a part of the body to protect, support, or immobilize an injury or wound.

Four purposes of bandaging:

  1. Protection: To protect wounds or injuries from dirt, bacteria, and further injury.
  2. Support: To provide support to injured muscles, joints, or bones.
  3. Immobilization: To restrict movement of an injured part to promote healing.
  4. Control bleeding: To apply pressure and help stop bleeding from wounds.
