    There lived a poor wood-cutter in a village. The village was on the bank of a river. One day he was cutting one of the branches of a tree. This tree stood just beside the river. Suddenly his axe slipped down from his hands and fell into the river. The river was very deep. The poor wood-cutter was very sad. He did not know what to do.
