     When the subject of a sentence is the receiver of an action or is affected by the action of the verb , the verb is said to be in the passive voice. যেতিয়া বাক্য প্ৰাপক হয় বা  ভাৰ্বৰ কাৰ্য্যৰ দ্বাৰা প্ৰভাৱিত হয় । সেই ভাব টোক পেচিড ভইচ বুলি কোৱা হয় । 

Now look at what active and passive sentences look like:

        Active: Cats chase rats .

   (i) Some words in the two sentences change their positions কিছুমান শব্দই দুয়োটা বাক্যত নিজৰ নিজৰ ঠাই সলনি কৰিলে ।

   (ii) The verb chase changes tow are chased জৰ্ব Chase টো are chased লৈ সলনি হল Cats chase rats
