Holi is a festival of spring. It is also the festival of colours. It brings joy to us. Mother prepares sweets for us during Holi. We exchange abir with our friends and relatives. It is an expression of love. We give abir to our elders also. It is a mark of respect for them. We should avoid harmful colours. We should use good quality of abir.

হোলি বসন্তৰ এটা উৎসৱ। এটো ৰঙৰ উৎসৱ। ই আমাৰ বাৱে আনন্দ আনে। হোলি সময়ত মাতৃসকলে আমাৰ কাৰণে মিঠাই সাজু কৰে। আমি আমাৰ বন্ধু আৰু আত্মীয়যনৰ লগত আবিৰ সলনি কৰো। ই ভাল পোৱাৰ প্রকাশ দিয়ে। আমি আমাৰ জ্যেষ্ঠ লোক সকলক আবিৰ লগাওঁ। এইটো তেওঁলোকৰ বাবে সন্মানিয় চিহ্ন। আমি ক্ষতিকৰ ৰংবোৰক ত্যাগ কৰিব লাগে। আমি ভাল যোগ্যতা আবিৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব লাগে।

Lord Shri Krishna played Holi in Brindaban. He played with Radha and other companions. We observe Holi on the full moon day of spring. People should play Holi with devotion and love. It makes us happy.

প্রভু শ্রী কৃষ্ণয়ে বৃন্দাবনত হোলি খেলিছিল। তেওঁ ৰাধা আৰু অন্যান্য সংগী লগত খেলিছিল। আমি হোলি বসন্তৰ পূর্ণচন্দ্র দিনা লক্ষ্য কৰিব পাৰো। মানুহে ভক্তিৰে আৰু মৰমেৰে হোলি খেলিব লাগে। সেই আমাক আনন্দ আনে।

*Abir- one kind of coloured powder used in Holi, usually called ‘Faku’ in Assamese.

• আবিৰ- এটা বিধৰ ৰঙীন  চূর্ণ হয় যিটো হোলিত ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়, অসমীয়া মতে ‘ফাকো’ বুলি কয়।
