The annual examination is now over. Sagar and Karabi are discussing their plans for the winter vacation. They have a lot of things on their mind.

Sagar: karabi, what are your plans for the winter vacation? What will you do?

Sagar: oh! You don’t know. it is not very far from Guwahati. It is situated in the Morigaon district. It is about 48 kilometers by road from Guwahati. It is located towards the east of Guwahati. If we take a car, it will only take about an hour to reach there.
Karabi: Tell me more about pobitora, sagar. What can we see there? Are there tigers? I love tigers. They are so beautiful!
Sagar: yes, tiger are very beautiful. But there are not tigers in pobitora.

সাগৰ: অ’! তুমি নাজানা৷ ই গুৱাহাটীৰ পৰা বৰ বেছি দূৰত নহয়। ই মৰিগাঁও জিলাত অৱস্থিত। গুৱাহাটীৰ পৰা ৰাস্তাৰে প্ৰায় ৪৮ কিলোমিটাৰ। গুৱাহাটীৰ পূব দিশত অৱস্থিত। গাড়ী এখনত উঠিলে তাত উপস্থিত হ’বলৈ মাত্ৰ প্ৰায় এঘণ্টা সময় লাগিব।

 Sagar: Pobitora is famous for the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros. The sanctuary has the highest concentration of the one- horned rhinoceros in the world. You will also see wild boar, wildlife sanctuary.
Karabi: wow! so many animals. Now I also want to go there.
Sagar: you can come with us karabi. I hope your parents will give you permission if you ask nicely.

Sagar: I know some. Some local birds found in pobitora are bean swallow, lesser adjutant stork, kingfisher, owl, hoopoe, parrot, myna, black Drogo, woodpecker etc.
Karabi: that’s interesting Sagar. You really know a lot about pobitora.
Sagar : my father knows more . karabi, you know you can ride on elephants in pobitora. The elephants will take you inside the sanctuary.

Karabi: that will be great Sagar. But I will ask my parents first. I hope they will give me permission to go to pobitora with you. It will be good experience.
