1.    Correct the following statements and rewrite them in your notebook.

(a)   Stem absorbs water and minerals from the soll

Ans:-  Roots absorb water and minerals from the soil.


(b)   Leaves hold the plant upright.

Ans:- Trees keep the tree standing.


(c)   Roots conduct water to the leaves.

Ans:- The stem transports water to the leaves.


(d)   The number of petals and sepals in a flower in always equal.

Ans:- The parts of the apah flower are betupat, petals, stamens and garbhakesh.


(e)   If the sepals of a flower are joined together, its petals are also joined together.

Ans:- The petals may not be attached if a flower is attached to it.


(f)   If the petals of a flower are joined together, then the pistil is joined to the petal

Ans:- Even if the petals of a flower are attached, they are not attached to the petals of garbhakesh.

3.    Can you find a plant in your house or in your neighborhood, which has a long but a weak               stem? Write its name, In which category would you classify if?

Ans:- We can see a lot of tall but weak plants around us. These include Aparajita, Gourd, Bhedai Lata, Comora, Bhol, Jica, Kerala, Grapes etc. 

We include these plants in creeper plants.


4.    What is the function of a stem in a plant?

Ans:- Plant stem sends water and mineral salts absorbed from the soil to the leaves. And keeps the plant standing.


5.    Which of the following leaves have reticulate venation?

       Wheat, tulsi, maize, grass, coriander (dhania), China rose

Ans:- We are fake intravenous tulsi rich and jowar.


6.    If a plant has fibrous root, what type of venation do its leaves likely to have?

Ans:- If the roots of a plant are clustered, then we will see parallel veins of this plant.


7.    If a plant has leaves with reticulate venation, what kind of roots will it have?

Ans:- If the leaf net of a plant is syrobinous, then its roots will be the main root.


8.    Is it possible for you to find out whether a plant has taproot or fobrous roots by looking at the        impression of its leaf on a sheet of paper. 

Ans:- Looking at the leaves on a piece of paper, it is possible to say whether there is a main root or a bunch of roots in the tree, because if there is a nutritive juice in the leaf, then the tree will have the main root; And if there is parallel intravenous content in the leaf shell then there will be clusters in the tree.


9.    Write the names of the parts of a flower.

Ans:- Petals, pungkeshars, pollinators, uteruses, wombs, parinakeshar, pollen grains and garbhamunds.

 

10.  Which of the following plants have you see? Of those that you have seen. which sne have               flowers?

       Grass, maize, wheat, chilli, tomato, tulsi, pipal, shisham, banyan, mango, jamun, guava,               pomegranate, papaya, banana, lemon, sugarcane, potato, groundnut.

Ans:- cango, jamun, guava, pomegranate, papaya, banana, lemon, sugarcane and potato. 

These include flowers of chillies, tomatoes, tulsi, mangoes, guava, pomegranates, jamuns, papayas, bananas, lemons, badams, etc.

11.   Name the part of the plant which produces its food. Name this process.

Ans:- Plant leaves prepare food. The name of this process is called photosynthesis.

12.   In which part of a flower, you are likely to rid the ovary?

Ans:- The uterus can be seen in the womb of the flower.

13.   Name two flowers, each with joinedand separatd sepals.

Ans:- The names of the flowers attached to the betupa are - Dhatura and Jawaful. And the names of the flowers separated are - Rose and Tagar.
