Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 558 Specialist Grade– II (Senior/Junior Scale) posts on direct recruitment basis for different regions. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Specialist Grade– II (Senior Scale)

  • A recognized medical qualification as per IMC Act, 1956
  • PG Degree in the concerned Specialty
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the concerned specialty after PG Degree
  • Must have passed middle level exam in local language of the concerned state (or working knowledge)

2. Specialist Grade– II (Junior Scale)

  • A recognized medical qualification as per IMC Act, 1956
  • PG Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty
  • Experience:
    • 3 years for PG Degree holders
    • 5 years for PG Diploma holders
  • Must have passed middle level exam in local language of the concerned state (or working knowledge)

Application Fee:

  • Fee: ₹500/-
  • Exempted: Women, SC/ST, PwBD, Departmental Candidates (ESIC Employees), Ex-Servicemen
  • Note: Contractual/adhoc/part-time employees must pay the fee.
