বিশেষকৈ পাহাৰ অঞ্চলত বসবাস কৰা লোকসকলে তেওঁলোকৰ ঘৰুৱাভাৱে উৎপাদিত খাদ্যশস্য, কৃষিজাত সামগ্ৰী যেনে-কচু, হালধি, বাঁহগাজ, জলকীয়া, থেকেৰা, লাও, শালধূনা ইত্যাদি বিনিময় কৰা দেখিবলৈ পোৱা যায়। অৱশ্যে এই মেলাত খাছিয়া, জয়ন্তীয়া, গাৰো, কাৰ্বি পাহাৰৰ পাহাৰীয়া জনগোষ্ঠীয় লোকসকলে অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰে।
উল্লেখ্য যে, মৰিগাঁও জিলাৰ জাগীৰোডৰ পৰা ৩ কিলোমিটাৰ দূৰত অৱস্থিত জোনবিল নামৰ এখন বিল। এই বিলৰ পাৰতে মেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হোৱাৰ বাবে এই মেলাক জোনবিল মেলা বোলা হয়। মাঘ বিহুৰ পাছৰ সপ্তাহত অনুষ্ঠিত হয় জোনবিল মেলা।
Will be Jonbile fair from friday. Jonbile mela one of the biggest festival in Assam. this fair happens on friday in the frist week of bihu. This is the biggest match of tiwa culture and Assamese Culture. The biggest feature of this fair is that they swap their belongings. More than 1 million people come to this fair. This fair is for 3 days only.
People living in hilly areas in particular can be seen exchanging their domestically produced food grains, agricultural products like kachu, turmeric, bamboo carrots, chillies, sheras, lao, shaldhuna etc. However, the fair was attended by hilly communities of Khasia, Jayantia, Garo, Karbi Hills.
It may be recalled that a bill called Jonbil is located 3 km from Jagiroad in Morigaon district. The fair is called Jonbil Mela as the fair is held on the banks of this bill. The Jonbil Mela was held in the week after Magh Bihu.
