Ans: The village schoolmaster taught in a small school building. He was a stern but humorous man who also cracked jokes in his class. His pupils learnt to trace his mood for the day by watching his face in the morning. If he was in a good mood he cracked jokes and made the students laughed. If he was in a bad mood the students could assume by his frawnings.He was a kind person.His only fault was his too much love for learning.The villagers accepted him as a learned man. He could write and knew cipher. He could measure lands with terms and predict tides.There were stories that he could measure well also. The schoolmaster owned some speaking skills too.
