Dasharatha was the king of Ayodhya. He had three queens named Kaushalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra. Dasharatha had four sons. They were Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Satrughna. Rama was the eldest son of Dasharatha. He was the son of Kaushalya, the eldest queen.

দশৰথ অযোধ্যাৰ ৰজা আছিল। তেওঁৰ কৌশল্যা, কাইকেয়ী আৰু সুমিত্ৰা নামৰ তিনিগৰাকী ৰাণী আছিল। দশৰথৰ চাৰিজন পুত্ৰ আছিল। তেওঁলোক আছিল ৰাম, লক্ষ্মণ, ভাৰত আৰু সত্ৰুঘনা। ৰাম দশৰথৰ জ্যেষ্ঠ পুত্ৰ আছিল। তেওঁ জ্যেষ্ঠ ৰাণী কৌশল্যাৰ পুত্ৰ আছিল।

Once when Dasharatha was seriously ill; Kaikeyi had taken very good care of him and helped in saving his life.

Therefore he promised to fulfil two of her demands at any time she chose.

        Dasharatha became old. He wanted Rama to be the crown prince. At that time, Kaikeyi put forth her two demands. Her demands were to send Rama to exile for fourteen years and to make Bharata the crown-prince. Rama was very obedient to his father. He gladly accepted the demands. Rama went to the forest. His wife Sita and younger brother Lakshmana also followed him.

 দশৰথ বৃদ্ধ হ'ল। তেওঁ ৰামক ৰাজকুমাৰ হোৱাটো বিচাৰিছিল। সেই সময়ত, কাইকেয়ে তাইৰ দুটা দাবী আগবঢ়াইছিল। তাইৰ দাবী আছিল ৰামক চৈধ্য বছৰৰ বাবে নিৰ্বাসনলৈ পঠোৱা আৰু ভাৰতক ৰাজকুমাৰ বনোৱা। ৰাম তেওঁৰ দেউতাকৰ প্ৰতি বৰ আজ্ঞাকাৰী আছিল। তেওঁ আনন্দেৰে দাবীবোৰ মানি লৈছিল। ৰাম অৰণ্যলৈ গ'ল। তেওঁৰ পত্নী সীতা আৰু সৰু ভায়েক লক্ষ্মণেও তেওঁক অনুসৰণ কৰিছিল।

Rama, Sita and Lakshmana passed fourteen years in the forest

Dandakaranya. Rama and Lakshmana killed many demons there. One day Ravana took Sita away. He was the demon king of Lanka. Rama attacked Lanka and killed Ravana.

Hanuman and his brigade helped Rama in the battle. They constructed a pathway with rocks to cross the sea. That pathway is known as Rama Setu even today.

হনুমান আৰু তেওঁৰ ব্ৰিগেডে ৰামক যুদ্ধত সহায় কৰিছিল। তেওঁলোকে সাগৰ পাৰ হ'বলৈ শিলৰ সৈতে এটা পথ নিৰ্মাণ কৰিছিল। সেই পথটোক আজিও ৰাম সেতু বুলি জনা যায়।

      Rama returned to Ayodhya with Lakshmana and Sita. People were very happy. Rama took every care of his subjects. Rama was an ideal king of Bharat. Even today, people of Bharat can imagine the happiness in the Rama Rajya (Ram's Kingdom).

ৰাম লক্ষ্মণ আৰু সীতাৰ সৈতে অযোধ্যালৈ উভতি আহিছিল। মানুহবোৰ বৰ সুখী আছিল। ৰামে তেওঁৰ বিষয়বোৰৰ প্ৰতিটো যত্ন লৈছিল। ৰাম ভাৰতৰ এজন আদৰ্শ ৰজা আছিল। আজিও ভাৰতৰ মানুহে ৰাম ৰাজ্যৰ (ৰামৰ ৰাজ্য) সুখৰ কথা কল্পনা কৰিব পাৰে।
