হোলী ৰঙৰ উৎসৱ

Riddhi, beli and Arki are talking about their coming holidays for Holi. I am going to Shillong, Riddhi says. How nice but I will stay here at home. I like the Holi festival very much .I like to  enjoy this festival of colour with my friends .In  our neighbourhood we celebrate Holi together. IT s really great fun Ariktalks about her plan. ৰিদ্ধি, বেলি আৰু আৰ্কীয়ে হোলীৰ বাবে তেওঁলোকৰ আহিবলগীয়া বন্ধৰ কথা কৈআছে। মই শ্বিলঙলৈ গৈ আছো, ৰিদ্ধিয়ে কয়। কিমান ভাল কিন্তু মই ইয়াত ঘৰত থাকিম। মই হোলী উৎসৱটো বহুত ভাল পাওঁ। মই মোৰ বন্ধুবৰ্গৰ সৈতে ৰঙৰ এই উৎসৱটো উপভোগ কৰিবলৈ ভাল পাওঁ। আমাৰ চুবুৰীয়া অঞ্চলত আমি একেলগে হোলী উদযাপন কৰোঁ। অৰিকে তাইৰ পৰিকল্পনাৰ বিষয়ে কথা শুনি সঁচাকৈয়ে বহুত আনন্দ লাভ কৰে। বেলি তুমি কি কবা? ৰিদ্ধীয়ে সুধিলে।

Beli s face brightens up, you know, Holi is my favourite festival. Every year we go to Barpeta to celebrate Holi. Barpeta? But why do you go to Barpeta only? Holi is celebrated everywhere in India , isn’t it? Arki is curious to know yes, Arki. you are right. but it a special festival for the people of Barpeta. It is called Doul Utsav, Beli says. 

বেলিৰ মুখখন উজ্জ্বল হৈ উঠিছে, তুমি জান, হোলী মোৰ প্ৰিয় উৎসৱ। প্ৰতি বছৰে আমি হোলী উদযাপন কৰিবলৈ বৰপেটালৈ যাওঁ। বৰপেটা? কিন্তু আপুনি কেৱল বৰপেটালৈ কিয় যায়? ভাৰতৰ সকলো ঠাইতে হোলী উদযাপন কৰা হয়, নহয় নেকি?। আৰ্কি জানিবলৈ আগ্ৰহী।  আপুনি শুদ্ধ। কিন্তু বৰপেটাৰ লোকসকলৰ বাবে এইটো এটা বিশেষ উৎসৱ। ইয়াক দুল উৎসৱ বুলি কোৱা হয়, বেলীয়ে কলে। 

Riddhi, who is listening to their conversation, is eager to know more about the. please tell me about Doul Utsav, Beli , she says. Beli turns to Riddhi and says joyfully, Doul is celebrated for three to five days in Barpeta .

তেওঁলোকৰ কথোপকথন শুনি থকা ৰিদ্ধিয়ে সেই বিষয়ে অধিক জানিবলৈ আগ্ৰহী। অনুগ্ৰহ কৰি মোক দুল উৎসৱৰ বিষয়ে কওক, বেলি, তাই কয়। বেলীয়ে ৰিদ্ধিৰ ফালে ঘূৰি আনন্দেৰে কয়, বৰপেটাত তিনিৰ পৰা পাঁচ দিনৰ বাবে দৌল উদযাপন কৰা হয়।

It is different from the Holi celebrated in other parts of India. Doul Utsav of Barpeta is closely related to Kirtan Ghar. During this festival Manikut of the Kritan Ghar and some rituals are performed.

এইটো ভাৰতৰ আন প্ৰান্তত উদযাপন কৰা হোলীতকৈ পৃথক। বৰপেটাৰ দৌল উৎসৱ কীৰ্তন ঘৰৰ সৈতে ওতঃপ্ৰোতভাৱে সম্পৰ্কিত। এই উৎসৱৰ সময়ত ক্ৰিতান ঘৰৰ মণিকুট আৰু কিছুমান ৰীতি-নীতি পালন কৰা হয়।

Then thousands of people take them in procession with Gayan Bayan, oh really do you join the procession? Riddhi asks. Do you join the procession? Riddhi asks.

তেতিয়া হাজাৰ হাজাৰ মানুহে তেওঁলোকক গয়ান বায়ানৰ সৈতে শোভাযাত্ৰাত লৈ যায়, ওহ সঁচাকৈয়ে আপুনি শোভাযাত্ৰাত যোগদান কৰে নেকি? ৰিদ্ধীয়ে সুধিলে। আপুনি শোভাযাত্ৰাত যোগদান কৰে নেকি? ৰিদ্ধিসুধিছে।

Belireplies, yes, I always do During this Doul Utsav the air of Barpeta is filled with Holigeet. Bhawna is also performed at night. I have never seen a Bhawna,  Arki says Sadly.

বেলিৰিয়ন্স, হয়, মই সদায় কৰোঁ। এই দুল উৎসৱৰ সময়ত বৰপেটাৰ বতাহ হলিগীতেৰে ভৰি পৰে। ভাওনাও ৰাতি পৰিৱেশন কৰা হয়। মই কেতিয়াও ভাওনা দেখা নাই, আৰ্কীয়ে দুখৰ সৈতে কয়।

Riddhi asks again, But Beli, don’t you play with phaku during Holi? We do hire. The last day of Doul is called Suweri . It is the day of colour. Everyone showers Phaku with joy and sings Holi Geet , Beli replies.

ৰিদ্ধিয়ে আকৌ সুধিলে, কিন্তু বেলি, আপুনি হোলীৰ সময়ত ফাকুৰ সৈতে নাখেলে নেকি? আমি ভাড়া লওঁ। দৌলৰ অন্তিম দিনটোক চুৱেৰী বুলি কোৱা হয়। এইটো ৰঙৰ দিন। সকলোৱে ফাকুক আনন্দেৰে বৰষুণ দিয়ে আৰু হোলী গীত গায়, বেলীয়ে উত্তৰ দিয়ে।

                “,Oh,  would love to go to Barpeta in this Doula Utsav. I will tell my parents today to take me there,” Riddhi says. Beli is very excited. She says, “oh It will be very nice. We can enjoy together, Riddhi,”
