হক আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ বন্ধুবৰ্গ 

Once upon a time the lived a family of hawks in a forest. The lived on a tree near a lake. There were a Male Hawk, a female Hawk and their kids Hawk in their family. They were a happy family. A Lion, a kingfisher and a Turtle also lived in that forest. One day the female hawk suggested to her husband, the male hawk, to make friends with the Lion , the kingfisher and the Turtle. The male hawk readily agreed to that good idea and made friends with them. The hawk family, the Lion, the kingfisher and the Turtle became happier than before after they met one another. They stared living a joyful life.

                 Suddenly, one morning some men came to the forest for hunting. They were not able to find anything till night. They went to the lake but there also they found nothing. They became tired and so they lay down under the tree, where the hawk family lived. But they could not sleep because the files Ans the mosquitoes disturbed them. They got up and built a fire on the shore of the lake to drive away the flies and the mosquitoes. But the fumes awoke the Hawks and the kinds Hawk cried out. The hunters heard that cry and decide to catch the young Hawks for their breakfast. They shouted with joy and talked to one another. They put more wood on the fire and the fire blazed up. The fumes almost reached the nest.

The hawks overheard their conversation and decided to ask their friends for help. The male hawk at first flew speedily to the kingfisher. He narrated the whole story. Thuringite at once came at the location and with its wings it beat the water of the lake and sprinkled water on the fire. The fire was put out. The hunters made another fire and the kingfisher again put it out. It was done for three to four times. The kingfisher got very tired. Then the male hawk went to the Turtle. 

হকবোৰে সিহঁতৰ কথা-বতৰা শুনি বন্ধু-বান্ধৱীক সহায় বিচাৰিবলৈ সিদ্ধান্ত ল’লে। মতা বাজটোৱে প্ৰথমে দ্ৰুতগতিত উৰি গ’ল কিংফিচাৰটোৰ ওচৰলৈ। গোটেই কাহিনীটো তেওঁ বৰ্ণনা কৰিলে। থুৰিংগাইট লগে লগে সেই স্থানত আহিল আৰু ডেউকাৰে ই হ্ৰদটোৰ পানীক কোবাই জুইত পানী ছটিয়াই দিলে। জুই নিৰ্বাপন কৰা হয়। চিকাৰী সকলে আৰু এটা জুই লগাই কিংফিচাৰে আকৌ জুই নুমুৱাই দিলে। তিনি-চাৰিবাৰৰ বাবে কৰা হৈছিল। কিংফিচাৰজন বৰ ভাগৰি পৰিল। তাৰ পিছত মতা বাজটো কচ্ছপৰ ওচৰলৈ গ’ল।

The Turtle quickly came at the location. When he saw the burning fire, he dived into the water, collection some out again. This time the male hawk flew to the water to protect itself. It feared to come out again. This time the male hawk flew to the lion for help. In the meantime, the hunters lighted another fire. when the Lion heard the story, he came roaring at the place. On hearing the Lion’s roar, the hunters cried out with fear and ran away. At last, the kingfisher and the Turtle also came on the scene. They appreciated the efforts made by all and lived happily thereafter. 

কচ্ছপটো সোনকালে সেই স্থানত আহিল। জ্বলি থকা জুইকুৰা দেখি সি পানীত ডুব গ’ল, আকৌ কিছুমান সংগ্ৰহ কৰি উলিয়াই দিলে। এইবাৰ মতা বাজটোৱে নিজকে ৰক্ষা কৰিবলৈ পানীৰ ফালে উৰি গ’ল। আকৌ ওলাই আহিব বুলি ভয় খাইছিল। এইবাৰ মতা বাজটোৱে সহায় বিচাৰি উৰি গ’ল সিংহৰ ওচৰলৈ। ইয়াৰ মাজতে চিকাৰী সকলে আৰু এটা জুই জ্বলাই দিলে। যেতিয়া সিংহটোৱে কাহিনীটো শুনিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ সেই ঠাইলৈ গৰ্জন কৰি আহিল। সিংহৰ গৰ্জন শুনি চিকাৰীসকলে ভয়তে চিঞৰি চিঞৰি পলাই গ’ল। অৱশেষত কিংফিচাৰ আৰু কচ্ছপটোও দৃশ্যপটত আহিল। সকলোৱে কৰা প্ৰচেষ্টাক তেওঁলোকে শলাগ লৈছিল আৰু তাৰ পিছত সুখেৰে জীয়াই আছিল।
