1. What do you notice about the beginning and the ending of the poem?
কবিতার শুরু এবং শেষের দিকে তুমি কী লক্ষ্য করো?
Answer:- In the beginning of the poem the tree is calm & silent and in the ending, the poem ends with motionless and empty level.
কবিতার শুরুতে, গাছটি শান্ত এবং নীরব এবং শেষে, কবিতাটি স্থির এবং শূন্য স্তর দিয়ে শেষ হয়।
2. To what is the bird’s movement compared? What is the basis for the comparison?
পাখির নড়াচড়ার তুলনা? তুলনার ভিত্তি কী?
Answer:- The goldfinch’s movement is compared to that of a lizard. The basis of the comparison is the sleek, abrupt and alert like a lizard. The same kinds of movements are observed when the goldfinch arrives on the laburnum tree.
গোল্ডফিঞ্চের নড়াচড়াকে গিরগিসের নড়াচড়ার সাথে তুলনা করা হয়। তুলনাগুলি গিরগিসের মসৃণ, নৈমিত্তিক এবং সতর্কতার উপর ভিত্তি করে। যখন গোল্ডফিঞ্চ ল্যাবার্নাম গাছে পৌঁছায়, তখন একই রকম নড়াচড়া দেখা যায়।

একটি যন্ত্র চালানোর জন্য শক্তির উৎস হল একটি ইঞ্জিন। এটিকে একটি পাখির সাথে তুলনা করা হয় কারণ এটি তার পরিবারের জন্য শক্তির উৎস। ইঞ্জিন ছাড়া কোনও যন্ত্র চলতে পারে না। একইভাবে, পাখির পরিবারও তাকে ছাড়া বাঁচতে পারে না।
4. What do you like most about the poem?
কবিতাটির কোন অংশটি তোমার সবচেয়ে বেশি ভালো লেগেছে?
Answer:- About the poem , I mostly like the simplicity and pictorial presentation of the poem. The comparison between bird’s movement with machine and lizard made in a nice way. Also chirruping and trilling of the goldfinch.
কবিতাটির ব্যাপারে বলতে গেলে, আমি মূলত কবিতার সরলতা এবং চিত্রকল্প পছন্দ করি। মেশিন এবং জিপসির সাথে পাখির গতিবিধির একটি সুন্দর তুলনা করা। আর সোনালী ফিঞ্চের নিরন্তর দোলনা আর ট্রিলিং।
5. What does the phrase ‘her barred face identity mask’ mean ?
'তার নিষিদ্ধ মুখোশ' বাক্যাংশটির অর্থ কী?
Answer:- The phrase means that the bird’s barred or covered face becomes her identity mask and a mark of recognition.
এই বাক্যাংশটির অর্থ হল পাখির বাধাবা ঢাকা মুখ তার পরিচয়ের মুখোশ এবং স্বীকৃতির চিহ্ন হয়ে ওঠে।
