AESRB Recruitment 2025 – 58 Assistant Professor Posts

The Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB), Guwahati, has released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 58 Assistant Professor (Technical and Non-Technical) posts in the State Engineering Colleges under the Higher Education (Technical) Department, Government of Assam. 1. Assistant Professor (Technical)

Total Posts: 54

Branch-wise Vacancy:

Civil Engineering: 24

Mechanical Engineering: 15

Electrical Engineering: 5

Chemical Engineering: 6

Instrumentation Engineering: 3

Computer Application: 1

Educational Qualification:

1.For Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Instrumentation Engineering:

B.E./B.Tech./B.S. (4-year degree) and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or integrated M.Tech in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

2.For Computer Application:

B.E./B.Tech./B.S. (4-year degree) and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or integrated M.Tech in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. OR

☺B.E./B.Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees. OR

☺Graduation (3-year duration) with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years of teaching/research/industry experience after acquiring the MCA degree.

☺Note: Candidates who have completed Ph.D. after a Bachelor’s degree from an institution of national importance with GATE/CEED qualification shall be eligible.

2. Assistant Professor (Non-Technical)

Total Posts: 6

Subject-wise Vacancy:

Mathematics: 6

Educational Qualification:

☺As per UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18th July 2018 and UGC guidelines issued from time to time.

☺Note: Candidates who have completed Ph.D. after a Bachelor’s degree from an institution of national importance with GATE/CEED qualification shall be eligible.




Other Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam and Indian citizens as per Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Pay Scale: Level-10 (₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400) plus other allowances as per government norms.

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 21 to 38 years as of 01-01-2025.

Application Fee

Applicants shall have to pay application fees through the payment gateway provided in the official AESRB portal. BPL and PwBD candidates are exempted. SC/ST candidates are also exempted under the Assam SC/ST Reservation (Amendment) Act, 2024.
