Chapter 3
Heat
1. Mention the similarities and differences between laboratory thermometers and thermocouple thermometers.
Answer:
Similarity: Both have the same bulb. Both the bulbs are filled to capacity. Both have gaat chelchiach scale.
Difference: After 35 degrees C, the temperature of the thermometer can be increased by 5 degrees. But laboratory thermometers usually have a range of 10 degrees C to 110 degrees C.
Laboratory thermometers need to be kept warm, but hot thermometers need to be kept warm.
2. Give two examples of heat conductors and non-conductors.
Answer:
Conductor of heat , Tam.
Non-conductors of heat are - plastic, wood.
3 . Fill in the blanks.
(a) It is determined by heating the object .
Answer: It is determined by the heat or warmth of the object .
(b) The temperature of shallow water cannot be measured by thermometer.
Answer: Utala water temperature is measured by clinical thermometer.
(c) Degrees are simply heat-affected.
Answer: Degree C is only warm.
(d) The process does not require a heat transfer medium.
Ans: Radiation process does not require heat transfer medium.
(e) Now the hot steel spoon is dipped in the hot gakira pilate. In this ________ process, anto roots conduct heat.
Ans: Now the hot steel spoon is dipped in the pilates. In this process of transport , anto murlai conducts heat.
4. Fill in the blanks below.
Answer:
a) Sthalvatah - d) Rati
b) Water is said - c) Day
c) Dark colored clothes are preferred - b) Winter
d) Light colored clothes are preferred - a) Summer
5. In the winter season only, our bodies are warmed by Dat Kapor's Solni and then Kapor Pindhil.
Ans: In winter only, our body is warmed by many tarap kapor pindhils in Dat Kapora Solni, because - those multiple tarap kapors are trapped by air which keeps our body warm.
6. Refer to Figure 4.13 below. Identify the places where heat is transferred by conduction, convection and radiation processes.
Answer: Try to draw a picture of this answer yourself.
7. Outdoor lighting is recommended for warm climates. explain
Answer: In warm climates, it is recommended to paint the outside of the house because the color does not absorb the heat, so the inside of the house is warm or hot nosomai.
8. One liter of water at 30°C is diluted with one liter of water at 50°C. Heat of mixture will be –

(b) High at 50°C but less at 80°C.
(c) 20° C
(d) Between 30°C and 50°C.
Answer: (d) Between 30°C and 50°C.
9. The mug is immersed in water heated to 40°C and heated to 40°C. the heat
(a) The force of gravity will act on water.
(b) The ball does not run in water or the ball does not run in water.
(c) It shall be performed after water.
(d) There will be an increase in temperature at both ends.
Ans: (b) The force of fire does not move through water or the force of fire does not move through water.
