Northeast India

Answer:  The plains of West Bengal connect North-Eastern India with mainland India.

( c) When and what is the main river of north-east India ? 

Answer:  Major rivers of North-East India- Meghalaya - Digaru (Umtru), Varapani (Umiam), Someshwari, Dudhnai. 

    Comparatively, it is more convenient to do agriculture in the plains than in the hilly regions.  Due to the altitude in the hilly areas, there is a severe difficulty in obtaining agricultural inputs.  Due to erosion of the soil,  difficult   irrigation areas are facing problems in Paharia region  .  Moreover, the climate of Paharia region is not favorable for all types of agriculture.

d) What is the advantage of plains region for agricultural purposes ?

Ans: The state is in the plains region and the agricultural sector is ahead. Anhate Pahariya Rajya Khanat is transferred to Kheti (Jhum Kheti). Because there is no way to store water in the streets of Paharia area. Bedika agriculture is also practiced to some extent  . Paddy field agriculture is practiced on the fertile soil of Pahar. In the hilly and plain areas, tea and rubber are also cultivated in the early stages of formal agriculture.  or

2. What kind of farming is done in Paharia region ? ( Written under 50 standard words.) 

Ans:  People of Paharia community do farming by Jhum Kheti method. Every year, Pahar's Habi-  forest cutting is done for Jhum Kheti Patha. After clearing the soil , the soil is cultivated in the traditional Sa-Sanjuli. Potatoes,kachu,turmeric,milletsesame,paddyand various other crops arecultivated under Paharat Jhum method  two years of cultivation, the land is released for uncultivated crops.
