Summary of the poem:

    The poem begins with a description of a tiger that is very beautiful who is walking in his little cage. He has beautiful stripes on his skin and soft pows like valvet. But the tiger is not happy and is quite angry about being confined in the cage. The poet says that if the tiger was not confined to the Zoo cage, he would have been hiding himself behind the long grass near some water body, in order to catch its prey that is the deer. Also he would have terrarised the residents of the villages around the forest area. But the reality is totally opposite to this. He was confined in a cage which was made up of strong building material and he was helpless there. He could not shaw his power to the visitors, therefore never tried to terrarize them. The tiger is described as being powerless and agonized by the poet. During the night the tiger is also alone, according to the poet. The tiger hears the voice of the patrolling vehicles of police and looking at the stars. The cage life has totally changed the tiger's personality. The poet is trying to say that the fearless animal is now confined and become sad and the people want to derive pleasure by looking at him in the zoo cage.

                   কবিতাৰ আৰম্ভণিতে বাঘটোৰ বিষয়ে বৰ্ণনা কৰা আছে যি দেখিবলৈ বহু ধুনিয়া আৰু সজাটোৰ ভিতৰত খোজ কাঢ়ি আছে। তাৰ পিঠিত ধুনিয়া আঁচ আছে আৰু কোমল সৰু সৰু ভৰিৰ নখ আছে তাৰ। কিন্তু বাঘটো সুখী নাছিল বৰং তাৰ খং উঠি আছিল সজাৰ ভিতৰত সোমাই থাকিব লগীয়া হোৱা বাবে। কবিয়ে কৈছে যদি বাঘটো চিৰিয়াখানাৰ সজাত নাথাকিল হয় তেনেহলে হাবিত জলাশয়ৰ কাষত ওখ বননিৰ মাজত লুকাই থাকিলে হয় নিজৰ চিকাৰ অৰ্থাৎ হৰিণাটো ধৰিবলৈ। হাবি কাষৰীয়া গাঁৱৰ মানুহখিনিক হয়তো বাঘটোয়ে ভয় খুৱাই থাকিলে হয়। কিন্তু বাস্তৱ ছবিখন ইয়াৰ সম্পূৰ্ণ ওলোটা, বাঘটো মজবুতাক বনাই ৰখা সজাৰ ভিতৰত অসহায় ভাৱে বন্দী হৈ আছে। ইয়াত সি কাকো নিজৰ শক্তি দেখুৱাব নোৱাৰে সেইবাবে কাকো সি ভয় খুওৱা নাই। কবিয়ে বাঘটোক দুৰ্বল হিচাপে বৰ্ণনা কৰিছে। কবিৰ মতে নিশা বাঘটো অকলশৰীয়াকৈ থাকে। সি মাথো নিশা ঘূৰি ফুৰা পুলিচৰ গাড়ীৰ শব্দ শুনা পাই আৰু তৰা ভৰা আকাশখন চাই থাকে। চিৰিয়াখানাৰ সজাৰ ভিতৰৰ অৱস্থাই বাঘটোৰ চৰিত্ৰ সলনি কৰি তুলিছে। কবিয়ে কৈছে যে শক্তিশালী জন্তুৱে অাজি সঁজাত বন্দী হৈ দুখী হব লগা হৈছে। শেষত কবিয়ে কৈছে মানুহে জীৱ জন্তুক বন্দী কৰি তেওঁলোকৰ অসহায় অৱস্থা চাই আনন্দ লভিছে।

Ans:- The poet has repeated the words to give a nice impact to his poem. Like the use of quiet with velvet pads describes that the tiger has to walk in the limited area of his cage. He can not run as he would have done it on the forest. Whereas quiet rage shows the hidden anger inside him which has grause stronger because of his confinement in the cage. The next word he used is `brilliant'. The word `brilliant' in the first line means the twinkling bright stars and the brilliant words used for the tiger's eyes shows the sadness of the tiger who would have led a free and fearless life if it were in the jungle.
