Bikash : Sure, ma. I will take my grandfather for an evening walk every day. I will also play carrom with my grandfather.Ma, last month, when we went to my grandparents’ house, my grandfather promised me that he would go to the planetarium with me. So I will remind him of that promise.


(Indirect Speech)


Mrs Das told her son Bikash that his grandparents were coming next week. He should spend time with them because his summer vacation would start from the next day. He should take his grandfather to the park near his school for an evening walk, and she would take his grandmother every evening to the naam ghar of their colony.

Bikash assured her mother and said that, he would take his grandfather for an evening walk every day. He would also play carrom with his grandfather. Kolkata, West Bengal, February 1, 2023: Three armed men entered the SBI office at 10:40 a.m. to steal 10 lac rupees.


Three of them had pistols, revolvers and grenades. They were tall and wore a black mask. They knocked the guard down and demanded for 10 lac rupees. Everyone’s phones were taken, and nobody was able to contact the cops. The manager was helpless and fulfilled their demands. As soon as, the money was handed over to them, they ran towards their car, and drove away.

 16) Write an article on ‘Importance of drinking sufficient amount of water to remain healthy.’


Answer:


Water is an essential part of everyone’s life. It helps all living beings on Earth to survive and grow. It is very important to drink sufficient amount of water every-day to maintain your health.

There is no accurate measure on how much water should be drank in a day, but it is known to drink 4-5 litres of water as it is very important to keep the body hydrated. It helps to maintain the normal temperature of the body and helps in lubrication the joints and bones. Drinking enough water also helps to reduce stress and increase energy levels in the body which in terms enhance the overall performance of the brain along with the body. Water is not the only source of hydration. Juices from fruits and vegetables, even drinks which are caffeinated like coffee and many carbonated drinks could contribute to the total water intake.

Hence, we should always carry water with us whenever travelling, as it should serve the main purpose. The more we travel, the more our body would get dehydrated, therefore it is important to drink sufficient amount of water to remain healthy.  But, drinking too much of water could also lead to water intoxication, which is quite rare.
