WRITING SKILLS
Look at the following two pictures and write two meaningful stories.
(a) Answer:
“A day in the park”
It was a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. All the school exams had ended by now. Meg and her brother Jack went to the play in the park. Their parents also went with them to enjoy the beautiful day.
In the park, they met Ryan and Shiela. They were playing in the park as well. Meg and Jack became more happy, as they got company. They started running all around the playground. Soon, Ryan and Shiela’s parents came to greet Meg and her brother, Jack’s parents. Their children used to study in the same school. The men started to discuss about the business franchises, while the women discussed about the new cooking recipes.
The children rode the swing, glided down the slides, sat on the see-saw and played many games until the sun went out. It was a cheerful day for everyone and a good boost for every one of them to start the new week.
(b) Answer:
“The princess and the dwarfs”
One day, a beautiful maid of a queen went for a walk. The queen was very jealous of the maid’s beauty, so she banished her in to woods. All alone in the woods she met seven dwarfs who at the beginning was curious about the woman, but later became friends with her.
Seeing, the maid living happily, the queen disguised herself as an old woman who used to sell apples, and went to meet the maid when the dwarfs weren’t there. She gave an apple to the maid, but little did the maid know that the apple was poisoned. After taking a bit of the apple, the maid fell onto the ground unconscious. Later, when the dwarfs arrived, they saw her lying on the floor. All of them, tried to wake her up, but she didn’t wake up.
It was a moment of tremendous grief, when all the seven dwarfs declared that the woman was dead, but not until a charming prince came to witness the funeral. The prince was shocked by the beauty of the woman and decided to give her a last kiss. But, as soon as the prince kissed her, the beautiful woman opened her eyes.
Seeing such a miracle happen, the dwarfs decided to the woman and the prince should marry each other, and they lived happily ever after.
