Krishna warmly embraced Sudama and took him to his private chamber. The two friends talked for a long time and Sudama offered the fried corn to his friend. Krishna took them with joy. Sudama stayed there for a few days happily. At last taking leave of his friend Krishna, Sudama returned home. At home Sudama was puzzled. There stood a new beautiful building in place of his old thatched house. His wife was wearing costly clothes and ornaments. Now Sudama was no longer poor. He understood that it was Lord Krishna's divine grace.
