কিমান ধুনীয়া বৰষুণ!

After the dust and heat, 

ধূলি আৰু গৰমৰ পিছত,

In the broad dust and fiery street,

বহল ধূলি আৰু অগ্নিময় আলিটোত,

 In the narrow lane,

সংকীৰ্ণ লেনত,

How beautiful is the rain! 

কিমান ধুনীয়া বৰষুণ!

How it clatters along the roofs,

ই কেনেকৈ চালৰ কাষত খটখটী কৰে,

 Like the tramp of hoofs! 

খুৰাৰ ট্ৰেম্পৰ দৰে!

How it gushes and struggles out 

কেনেকৈ ই গুছ কৰে আৰু ষ্ট্ৰগল আউট কৰে

From the throat of the overflowing spout!

উফন্দি উঠা টোপোলাটোৰ ডিঙিৰ পৰা!

Across the window - pane

 উইণ্ড'ৰ সিপাৰে - পেন

 It pours and pours;

ই ঢালি ঢালি দিয়ে;

And swift and wide,

আৰু দ্ৰুত আৰু বহল,

With a muddy tide,

বোকাময় জোৱাৰৰ সৈতে,

Like a river down the gutter roars

In the nursery rhyme the poet asks rain to go away. There rain creats trouble because the family cannot play outside in thr rain. But the above poem is different from the nursery rhyme because here poet says that rain is beautiful and he appreciates the benefits that rain carry with it.
