I. 1. What do the following phrases mean to you ? Discuss in class.

Answer: These are the shadows of different things which become wet during the rainy season.
( বিভিন্ন বস্তুৰ ছাঁ যিবোৰ বৰষুণ দিলে সিক্ত হৈ পৰে )
(ii) starry spheres (তৰাৰ গোলক)
Answer: The area where stars appears in a group in the sky.
( আকাশৰ যিবোৰ ঠাইত তৰাবোৰে থূপা খাই থাকে)
(iii) what a bliss ( কিয়ে ভাল লগা)
Answer: The poet feels happy when he listens to the rain drops.
(বৰষুণৰ শব্দ শুনি কবিয়ে ভাল পাই )

Answer: The poet starts recollecting the poet and finds himself last in reveries and dreams in the rainy weather.

Answer: The poet recollects hundreds of memories in the rainy season. They weave a weft with the help of of air threads.

Answer: Poet wants to enjoy rain by lie on bed in a collage, and listen to pitter-patter sound of the rain.

3. What is the single major memory that comes to the poet ? Who are the " darling dreamers " he refers to ?

Answer: The memory of the poets mother is the single major memory that comes to his mind. The kids who remember their mothers like the poet are the darling dreamers.

4. Is the poet now a child ? Is his mother still alive ?

Answer: No, the poet is no longer a child. No his mother is not still alive but her memory always haunt him.
( নাই কবি এতিয়া শিশু হৈ থকা নাই । তেখেতৰ মাক মৃত্যু হৈছে যদিও তেওঁৰ স্মৃতিয়ে সদায় কবিক আমনি কৰে । )
II. 1. When you were a young child , did your mother tuck you in , as the poet's did ?
( তুমি সৰু থাকোতে কবিৰ মাকৰ দৰে তোমাক মাযেও তোমাক আঁকোৱালি লৈছিল নে ? )
Answer: Yes my mother used to luck me in my childhood whenever i was failed to do a work, she took me in her lap to get that work done. She felt sad and dejected if i was invalid in any mishaps.
( হয় মোৰ মায়ে লৰালি কালত মই কোনমো কাম কৰিব নোৱাৰিলে আঁকোৱালি লৈছিল আৰু সেই কামটো কৰাত সহায় কৰি দিছিল । মই কোনো কামত বিফল হলে তেখেতে মনত দূখ পাইছিল । )
2. Do you like rain ? What do you do when it rains steadily or heavily as described in the poem ?
( তুমি বৰষুণ ভাল পোৱানে ? কবিতাটো দিয়া ধৰণে মূষলধাৰ বৰষুণ আহিলে তুমি কি কৰা ? )
Answer: I love rain, it seems like nature is taking shower direct from nature it. But when it rains heavily I stay inside and enjoy tea and snacks.

3. Does everybody have a cosy bed to lie in when it rains ? Look around you and describe how different kinds of people or animals spend time , seek shelter etc. during rain .
(সকলো মানুহৰে বৰষুণ দিলে শুব পৰাকৈ বিছনা আছে নে ? নিজৰ চৌ পাশে চোৱা আৰু মানুহবোৰে বা জন্তুবোৰে বৰষুণ দিলে কেনেকৈ সময় পাৰ কৰে ? )
Answer: Everybody is not fortunate to enjoy rain by lie one cosy bed. There are poor people who don't have roof over head and live at the railway station, bus terminals etc.
Also the stray dops and other animals who don' t have shelter and tremble under the sky in the rainy season.
(সকলো মানুহে বিছনাত শুই বৰষুণৰ আমেজ লব পৰাকৈ ভাগ্যবান নহয় । কিছুমান দূখীয়া মানুহ আছে যাৰ শুবৰ বাবে বিছনা নাই আৰু থাকিবৰ বাবে ঘৰ নাই । সেইবোৰে মানুহে ৰেলষ্টেচন বাছ আস্থান আদিত নিজৰ জীৱন অতিবাহিত কৰে।)
( ইয়াৰ উপৰিও ৰাস্তাৰ কুকুৰ তথা জীৱ জন্তুবোৰৰ ঘৰৰ ব্যৱস্থা নাথাকে যাৰ বাবে তেওঁলোকে বৰষুণত তিঁতি কঁপি কঁপি দিন পাৰ কৰে । )
* Summary:
This is a lyrical poem by coats Kinney. IN this poem , the poet shows his love for nature and praises the beauty of nature. The poet says that when the clouds filled with rain vapors fleet in the sky everybody feels thrilled. The sadness weeping in rainy tears. It is very enjoyable to have rest in a cosy bed. when it is ranning outside. It is very enjoyable to hear the pattering sound of rain on the roof. This makes an echo in the poets heart. Through out the poem he recollects all his memories of childhood how did he spend time with his mother, who left him alone now.
